We'll be reading 'The Summer People,' by Shirley Jackson, and 'The Familiars,' by Micaela Morrissette, both of which can be found in the anthology The Weird: A Compendium Of Strange And Dark Stories, edited by Ann and Jeff VanderMeer
Short And Weird: A Book Club Of Fantastical Fiction: Inspired by a love of Fantastical tales and short fiction, the club will discuss two Fantastical stories per meeting. For the year 2022, everything we read will come from one book, the anthology The Weird: A Compendium Of Strange And Dark Stories, edited by Ann and Jeff VanderMeer. This essential collection is a treasure trove, and it’s going to be so fun to dig through it. Meetings are on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm.
